The year 2020 was an “epidemic year” for the aviation and tourism industry, which no one had expected even in the most pessimistic worst-case scenarios. While there is now hope that the availability of vaccines will improve the situation in 2021, many people have lost their jobs.
Seriously, it is impossible to give an outlook on the new year, because there are so many variable factors that can influence the course of the pandemic both positively and negatively. No one can guarantee that the vaccinations will lead to normal lives again, especially since it is unclear how many people will actually be vaccinated. Also, nobody knows how long one or the other aviation company will survive the dry spell. The next days, weeks and months will show how the year 2021 will develop. So a lot is also up to us, the population. A matching quote from Henry Ford:
