Wizz Air Abu Dhabi actually wanted to start a non-stop connection between Abu Dhabi and Tel Aviv in February 2021. Admission has been repeatedly postponed due to Israel's still tough entry regulations. The carrier has now announced that it will fly from April 18, 2021.

For the time being, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi plans to commute between the two cities three times a week. Competitor Etihad Airways celebrated its maiden flight on this route earlier this week. Depending on the success, the low-cost airline wants to increase the frequency to daily flights. According to a media statement from Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, it could be ready in May 2021.
