Low-cost airline Wizz Air will purchase 75 more Airbus A321neos. The order is not entirely new, as existing purchase options and firm orders are converted. The approval of the Supervisory Board of the Wizz Air Group is still pending.

In the previous year, the major shareholder Indigo Partners surprised with a large order for the airlines in which it is involved. A total of 255 Airbus A321neo series aircraft have been ordered. 75 A321neo and 27 A321XLR are destined for Wizz Air.

According to the low-cost airline, existing purchase options have been taken and converted into firm orders. This increases the order volume for this type of aircraft to 150 units. The formal approval of the supervisory board is expected in the next few days. The newcomers will be registered on the AOCs in Hungary, Malta and the United Arab Emirates. There is no exact division. An offshoot in Saudi Arabia could possibly be added, but the decisions have not yet been made.
