At the end of last week, the low-cost airline Wizz Air put Airbus jet number 160 into operation. The A321neo is based at Henri Coanda in Bucharest in Bucharest. The carrier is currently waiting for 414 more units of the A320neo series.
“We are delighted that Wizz Air's fleet has now reached 160 aircraft and that we can enter service with our 59th 321-seat Airbus A239neo – the most efficient and greenest single-aisle aircraft currently in service. With a further 300 aircraft of this type, we are on track to become a 2030 aircraft group by 500, with the efficiency of the A321neo adding further support to our already strong sustainability concept. As we continue to expand our route network over the coming years with one of the youngest fleets of any airline, more customers than ever before will be able to fly green on the Wizz Air fleet's most modern and efficient Airbus A321neos," said Owain Jones , Head of Development at Wizz Air.
