The Wizz Air Group carried a total of 2021 passengers in October 2.977.286, which is fewer than in August and September 2021. The group puts the load factor at 79,5 percent.

The competitor Ryanair has recently succeeded in showing an increasing passenger trend. There were more travelers in October 2021 than in the traditionally high-volume August. Wizz Air did not succeed. August 2021 was initially the strongest single month of the current year for the pink low-cost airline with 3.581.788 passengers.

Since then, there has been a downward trend. In September 2021, with 2.998.797 passengers, fewer travelers were on board. In October 2021 there were - albeit only minimally - fewer: 2.977.286 passengers. The downward trend is not only related to the recent upheaval in demand, but also to the fact that Wizz Air has cut frequencies in the entire route network and postponed the start or resumption of various routes again.

Financially, Wizz Air should have gone quite well between April and September 2021. According to their own statements, they could fly in a profit of 57 million euros. It is also emphasized that the capacities offered have almost reached the pre-crisis level again. It is assumed that this will be achieved in the coming year.
