At the most recent “Airline Strategy Awards” from Flight Global, Wizz Air boss József Váradi received the so-called “Low-Cost Leadership Award”. According to a broadcast by the carrier, the award is intended to “recognize the energetic leadership and clear vision of Váradi during the pandemic”.

“It is an honor to receive the Low-Cost Leadership Award at the Airline Strategy Awards, especially after these challenging 18 months. It is thanks to the dedication and hard work of the remarkable Wizz Air team that we have been able to successfully seize opportunities as they arise, demonstrating exemplary agility and resilience amid unprecedented levels of uncertainty and volatility. In the future, we will strive to further expand our position as a long-term winner of this crisis and will continue to strive to offer our customers the lowest tariffs for a steadily growing number of destinations, ”said Váradi.
