The low-cost airline Wizz Air will be flying from Vienna to London-Gatwick in the summer flight schedule of 2022. So far, the carrier has been heading for Luton Airport from Austria. The first flight is scheduled to take place on March 27, 2022.

Wizz Air was able to acquire 15 additional pairs of slots in Gatwick. Obviously, these are at least partially used for flights to Vienna. In addition to the Vienna-London Luton connection, the route represents the second connection between Vienna and London operated by Wizz Air. Wizz Air has been operating a base in London Gatwick since October 2020. Daily rotations between the two airports are planned.

“With the new connection we can further expand our presence and continuously expand our network. We are pleased that we can already announce new destinations for the summer flight schedule 2022 and thus make air travel affordable for everyone ”, said company spokesman András Rado.
