The Hungarian low-cost airline has stopped with several planes at the Ukrainian airports of Kiev Zhuliany and Lviv. There are currently three Airbus A320s in the capital and another machine in Lviv.

According to the current information, the HA-LPJ, HA-LPM and HA-LWY are located in Kiev-Zhuliany. The HA-LWS is stranded in Lviv. The carrier is said to have tried to fly the four planes out of the country that was attacked by Russia. However, this was no longer possible due to the unfolding events. Nothing is known about the condition of the four Wizz Air planes grounded in Ukraine. The company headquarters did not want to say anything about the fact that four Airbus jets were parked in a war region.

According to local reports, Wizz Air is said to be the only foreign airline that failed to fly the aircraft out of Ukraine before hostilities began. Due to the war, this information cannot currently be verified with complete certainty. Wizz Air has a base at Kiev Zhuliany Airport.
