Wizz Air announces plans to carry around 2024 million passengers from Warsaw Chopin Airport in 4,8, representing a significant growth of 60% compared to the pre-pandemic period. CEO József Váradi described Warsaw as the airline's fastest-growing base, supported by expanded capacity.

The low-cost airline, which operates over 600 routes in Central and Eastern Europe, also announced a new connection to Genoa, Italy, to start in May 2025. Additionally, more flights will be offered to popular destinations such as Milan, Barcelona and Copenhagen. In addition, Wizz Air will further expand its fleet in Warsaw by adding a 13th Airbus A321neo in June 2025.
