The low-cost airline Wizz Air UK will also fly within the United Kingdom on July 9, 2021. The carrier will initially fly to Jersey from Cardiff and Doncaster / Sheffield. The Channel Island does not formally belong to Great Britain, but is listed as a so-called Crown Estate.

Both routes will initially be operated on Monday and Friday. The company hopes that numerous Brits will want to spend their vacations on the Channel Island. In terms of travel restrictions, although Jersey is not formally part of the United Kingdom, these are currently considered a domestic stay.

Wizz Air UK will open a base in Cardiff on June 19, 2021. The UK branch currently has bases in Luton, Gatwick and Doncaster. The fleet has meanwhile grown to three A320, seven A321 and four A321neo.
