Low-cost airline Wizz Air continues to increase its presence in Milan-Malpensa and Rome-Fiumicino. Additional Airbus A321neo aircraft are stationed at both airports. Two are intended for the capital and one for the northern Italian metropolis.

At the same time, 12 new routes are to be added from Italy. Frequencies are to be increased on three routes from Malpensa and five on Fiumicino. The new routes are to be added gradually from October 2022. The base in the capital grows to seven aircraft. 66 routes are to be offered. Six machines are now available in Malpensa. The offer is to be expanded to 43 destinations.
