The British low-cost airline Wizz Air UK has announced the opening of another base in the UK. The carrier will station an Airbus A321 medium-haul jet at Cardiff Airport.

It is the fourth UK base. Wizz Air UK currently has bases in Luton, Gatwick and Doncaster / Sheffield. The company was founded as a Brexit safeguard, since the previous freedoms of EU carriers in the United Kingdom will cease to exist from January 1, 2021. Conversely, this applies to British airlines in the Union.
