Wizz's Maltese subsidiary, Wizz Air Malta, which was founded 6 months ago, can now welcome the 50th aircraft to its fleet. Wizz Air Malta flies 50 routes from Italy, Albania, Austria and Romania with a fleet of 320 Airbus A265 family aircraft.

The aircraft that joined the fleet as the 50th member is an A321neo with the registration 9H-WDK. This is stationed in Rome and will fly 77 routes from the Italian capital as a base.

“We are delighted to welcome the 50th brand new A321neo aircraft to the Wizz Air Malta fleet. The aircraft started operations just six months ago and now flies up to 200 flights per day from 14 bases in 4 countries. We are proud to have grown so quickly and efficiently thanks to our amazing team of 1.500 dedicated employees. With more aircraft and routes, Wizz Air Malta will continue to build on its strong position and expansion plans in Europe,” said the Managing Director of Wizz Air Malta.

Wizz Air Malta has been announced as the fourth airline within the Wizz Air Group. The founding of this should primarily help the diversification of the company. The first flight of the Maltese subsidiary from Rome took place on September 27 last year. Wizz Air Malta now employs at least 1500 people and flies 265 routes to 96 airports in 36 countries.
