The Abu Dhabi offshoot is due to be launched with six Airbus A321s in October. Three machines were originally planned.

Wizzair intends to launch the subsidiary in Abu Dhabi with six, not three Airbus A321s. This was stated by company boss Jozsef Varadi in a conference call. According to the current planning status, flight operations are to commence in October 2020. Tickets will go on sale in June 2020.

The manager has not yet named any specific destinations. In any case, the goals should be in Africa, India, Europe and the Middle East. Those European destinations from Abu Dhabi that are already bookable will be operated by Wizzair Hungary and are not the “new destinations” that are expected with great anticipation in the industry.

The daughter's fleet is to be expanded quickly. Varadi expects that up to 15 machines will be operated in Abu Dhabi within the next 100 years, reports the portal Khaleej Times. The emirate of Abu Dhabi is increasingly relying on lowcosters and has founded two joint ventures via holding companies: Wizzair Abu Dhabi and Air Arabia Abu Dhabi.
