The Hungarian low-cost airline is now also offering flights to Vienna from Salzburg. Rumors have been around for a long time, but now it's fixed.

After the low cost carrier just yesterday two new bases Inaugurated, the next announcement will follow immediately: From July, passengers will be able to fly from Salzburg Airport to Larnaka, Kiev, Bucharest, Belgrade, Tuzla and Skopje. All six new routes were not yet directly accessible from Salzburg.

"With the announced routes, Salzburg Airport will be expanded by more than 200.000 seats annually and will connect the city and the region with destinations that are not yet served".

CEO Jozsef Varadi

“Wizz Air is coming to Salzburg in these very difficult times! This is not only a very important signal for us and the market, but also underlines the value of this region. We have always had a great demand for direct connections to Eastern Europe, which we can now offer with Wizz Air. I am wholeheartedly convinced that all destinations will be well received by our market, ”says Bettina Ganghofer, Managing Director of Salzburg Airport.

Then József Váradi moved on to Tirana. It remains to be seen whether he will also have new routes for the Albanian capital with him ...
