The board of the Austrian Lufthansa subsidiary will be downsized. Andreas Otto takes on the financial agendas in addition to his previous duties.

After Andreas Fritthum at Lauda, the CFO is also leaving the company at Austrian Airlines. Wolfgang Jani has been the Chief Commercial Officer since April 2018 and is leaving at the end of August 2020. The position will not be filled, but will be taken over by Chief Commercial Officer Andreas Otto.

The board of directors of the Austrian Lufthansa subsidiary will be reduced to three people and will in future consist of Alexis von Hoensbroech (CEO), Andreas Otto (CCO / CFO) and Jens Ritter (COO).

“Together with his colleagues on the Executive Board, Wolfgang Jani developed the # DriveTo25 strategy program in order to align the company to the tough competitive environment in Austria. He was the project initiator and sponsor for one of the core topics, the “PE20” process efficiency program. Caused by the COVID-19 crisis, Wolfgang Jani has been responsible for securing the financing and the positive forecast of the company's continued existence in the past few months. Without exception, they were difficult and challenging topics that he had to deal with in the more than two years in office. On behalf of the Supervisory Board and the Management Board, I would like to express our gratitude for his work. We wish Wolfgang Jani all the best for the future ”, said Christina Foerster, Chairman of the Supervisory Board.
