The international top chef Wolfgang Puck has personally opened his first restaurant in his native Austria: As part of a grand opening yesterday evening, he welcomed over 120 invited guests to his restaurant "Wolfgang Puck Kitchen + Bar" at Vienna Airport.

The Wolfgang Puck Kitchen + Bar has been open since mid-April and is accessible in the arrivals hall in Terminal 3. In the restaurant with an open kitchen, bar and to-go area, dishes such as international classics, Wolfgang Puck signature dishes, gourmet pizzas and of course Austrian cuisine are served on more than 700m². The catering facility is operated by SSP – The Food Travel Experts, a long-standing catering partner at Vienna Airport. The restaurant is open daily from 5 a.m. to 22 p.m.

“I am so excited to finally be returning to Austria and opening our Wolfgang Puck Kitchen + Bar restaurant at Vienna Airport, which is the gateway to many, many people from all over Central Europe. It's a great experience!” says star chef Wolfgang Puck.

Over 100 invited guests at Grand Opening

With over 100 invited guests, Wolfgang Puck celebrated the grand opening of his first restaurant in Austria last night together with his siblings Klaus Puck and Christine Puck. Representatives from aviation and gastronomy, including former mayor Michael Häupl, Ali Rahimi, Mike Köberl (Spoon), fashion designer Niko Niko, Edward Ho (EVA Air), Josef Donhauser (DoN Group), Michael Dorfer (Moxy Hotel Vienna Airport) and many more followed the round of interviews conducted by TV presenter Sasa Schwarzjirg with Wolfgang Puck, Jeremy Fennell CEO of SSP Continental Europe and Vienna Airport Board Member Julian Jäger. The highlight was the official opening with the joint pizza cutting of Puck's signature dish, the well-known "Smoked Salmon Pizza".

"Wolfgang Puck is one of the most successful Austrian restaurateurs and is internationally renowned. We are pleased that he chose Vienna Airport as the location for his first restaurant in his native Austria and personally accompanied the start. Together with the airport experience of our long-standing catering partner SSP and the culinary excellence of Wolfgang Puck, we can offer our guests a new highlight at Vienna Airport,” says Julian Jäger, CEO of Flughafen Wien AG.

Three hours free parking when visiting the restaurant

Interested parties can experience Wolfgang Puck's high-quality cuisine even without departing or arriving at Vienna Airport: Guests visiting the new Wolfgang Puck Kitchen & Bar can park for three hours free of charge for purchases of 20 euros or more. The nearby car parks 3 and 4 can be used for this.
