The airline startup World2Fly has come a decisive step closer to its first flight, because the Spanish civil aviation authority has issued an AOC and an operating license. The sale of tickets began immediately afterwards.
Approval for the offshoot in Portugal is expected in the next few days. The first long-haul aircraft of the type Airbus A330-300 carries the registration EC-LXR. This is already painted in the small color of World2Fly. Two Airbus A350s are to be taken over in May 2021. These are leasing planes. It is currently planned that the A330 will be deployed from Lisbon. The two A350s will be operated from Madrid. The fleet will be expanded by May 2022.
