The newly founded World2Fly plans to start flight operations from Madrid in June 2021. The Portuguese branch is scheduled to take off from Lisbon for the first time in mid-July 2021. The first destinations will be Cancun, Punta Cana and Varadero.

Initially, these destinations will be offered from Madrid from June 19, 2021. These destinations will also follow from Lisbon on July 11, 2021. Company boss Gabriel Subías said this at a press conference. Two Airbus A330-300s are to be stationed in Lisbon, with the first A2021-350 to join the fleet in May 900. In the coming year, one more A330-300 and one more A350-900 will be deployed from Portugal.

Currently, World2Fly does not have the official approvals required for flight operations in either Spain or Portugal. The company, which is part of the Iberostar Group, expects these to be issued in good time before the planned first flights. To begin with, the new company will concentrate on destinations where Iberostar has its own hotels.
