Last month Zadar Airport recorded its busiest month ever with 237.327 passengers.
This means that the Croatian airport can increase by 63,2 percent compared to the month before the 2019 pandemic. From January to July, the airport recorded a record number of 566.788 travelers, 28,5 percent more than in 2019. According to its own statements, the boom should continue in August: “This year will certainly be a record year. We will probably exceed 2019 by around 15 to 20 percent,” says Ivan Skelin, Ground Operations Manager at Zadar Airport.
Zadar Airport is the first in Croatia not only to reach but also exceed the pre-crisis level. The increase in traffic is mainly due to Ryanair, as reported by Ex-Yu-Aviation. The low-cost company stationed a third aircraft in the city this summer and opened a number of new routes.
