After a break of around 2,5 years, the Swiss holiday airline Edelweiss Air again operated a flight from Zurich to Las Vegas on Monday. The route will be served three times a week. In the 2022 summer timetable, a total of 78 destinations will be served.

After Tampa Bay (Florida), this is the second USA destination to be reactivated by the Swiss sister company. “I am very pleased that Las Vegas is our second US destination after Tampa Bay. We had to wait long enough for this moment. I am convinced that our guests can hardly wait to be able to fly to this vibrant city again," explains Patrick Heymann, Chief Commercial Officer of Edelweiss Air.

Further reactivations are pending in the coming months: Vancouver is to be served again on May 15, 2022. From June 12, 2022, Edelweiss will fly to Calgary and Denver again from June 13, 2022.

This summer the airline is offering 59 destinations in 19 countries on short and medium-haul routes and 19 destinations in 13 countries on long-haul routes. These include six short- and medium-haul holiday destinations to which Edelweiss is new this summer: Bilbao since March 27, Cork from April 15, Pisa from June 3, Bergen from June 4, Newquay (Cornwall) from June 3. July and Ponta Delgada (Azores) from July 11th.
