Around 120 employees at Zurich Airport have to leave due to the consequences of the corona pandemic. The measures taken so far would not have been sufficient. The airport employs around 1.700 people.

The company confirmed a corresponding report in the Tagesanzeiger that 26 layoffs had already been pronounced. The number of passengers dropped significantly due to the pandemic. The consequence of this is that sales are also falling sharply. The downsizing in Zurich is not an isolated case. It is to be expected that many people around the world who are employed at airports will have to fear for their jobs.
