Two further test stations were opened at Zurich-Kloten Airport. One of them is in the security area. This offers rapid antigen tests and is intended to make traveling easier for those switching. Switzerland has recently also asked people who only change aircraft to submit a negative result.

In arrival area 1 in Terminal 1, Wochout GmbH offers quick tests for asymptomatic people daily from 5:00 a.m. to 20:00 p.m. The price is 80 Swiss francs. The result should be sent in English via SMS and email within 15 minutes. Pre-registration is not required, but is recommended. It is planned that PCR tests will also be offered in the new test center at a later date.

The new test center in Terminal 1 complements the previously existing test center in Terminal 2 of Checkport / Ender Diagnostics, which has been offering rapid antigen tests as well as PCR tests using saliva samples since March 1st. The latter cost 80 Swiss francs. The evaluation takes around 15 minutes. The range of tests offered by the Airport Medical Center (PCR, IgG antibody test and rapid antigen tests) will also continue to be available upon reservation.

New test lounge on the air side

Since February 25, 2021, travelers and airport partners at Zurich Airport have been able to use the Marhaba Lounge on the 3rd floor of the Airside Center, temporarily converted to a test location, for rapid antigen tests. The test lounge is operated by the ground handler dnata in cooperation with test partner Viselio. In the lounge, which has been converted into a "classroom", the focus is on a high throughput of passengers in the shortest possible time - when fully expanded, the passengers of a fully loaded short-haul aircraft should be able to be tested for rapid antigen tests in compliance with all health authority regulations.

The Airside location has created a new, exciting contact point that is efficiently integrated into the specific airport and passenger processes without any additional loss of time. A quick test costs 100 Swiss francs and the evaluation takes 15 minutes. The test lounge is open daily from 07:30 a.m. to 18:00 p.m. (on days with early morning flights with KL1952 from 05:00 a.m.). Registration is not necessary, but is recommended to avoid waiting times.
