Installation of the first fully-fledged government cabin by autumn 2022.

Yesterday evening, the second of a total of three Airbus A350-900 aircraft from the Federal Ministry of Defense for cabin equipment arrived at Lufthansa Technik in Hamburg. The 10 + 01 “Konrad Adenauer” now has the first full government cabin for an aircraft of this type and no transitional cabin like the 10 + 03 “Kurt Schumacher”. The renovation work will therefore take a lot more time this time. Delivery to the Air Force is planned for autumn 2022.

In parallel to the revised external appearance, which has been updated with titles in the font “Bundes Sans” and with wing tips in large black, red and gold, the 10 + 01 will also differ significantly from the 10 + 03 in the interior. In contrast to their open cabin design, the various functional areas for political-parliamentary flight operations will now be structurally separated from one another.

In October, the third Airbus A350 with the registration 10 + 02 will finally arrive in Hamburg in order to also receive the full government cabin.
