Since March 1, 2021, all persons entering Cyprus via Larnaka and Paphos airports have been subjected to an RT-PCR test. For people who come from states that are on the green list, the state pays the costs. Everyone else has to pay for the examination out of their own pocket.

Currently, only Australia, Iceland, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia and Singapore are exempt from quarantine on entry. For these people, however, the state bears the costs for the mandatory PCR test upon entry. If you come from areas that are orange or even red, you have to pay the costs yourself. This applies provisionally until the end of March 2021.

Important: Cyprus expressly points out that an appointment is necessary. The cost of the RT-PCR test is 30 euros in Larnaka and 32 euros in Paphos. Alternatively, the services of other laboratories in Cyprus can also be used. The quarantine applies until the result is known. If you do not use the tests at the two airports, the results are sent by email to [email protected] to submit. Attention: People who come from countries listed in red must also show a negative PCR result from their country of origin upon entry.

Germany, Austria and Switzerland are currently classified in red. Cyprus also requires a pre-entry registration called Cyprus Flight Pass. The current official division of the states as well as further information can be found under this link on the official homepage be accessed.
