On July 3, 2021, Tus Airways intends to rise from oblivion. The Cypriot carrier can look back on an eventful company history, as scheduled flight operations were discontinued in 2019. They wanted to focus on the charter business, but then Corona came along.

From Larnaka, Tus plans to fly to Tel Aviv again from July 3, 2021. Skiathos is slated to open on July 12, 2021. Preveza is announced for July 17, 2021 and Santorini is planned to be approached from July 2, 2021. The fleet now consists of an Airbus A320, which was taken over by Air Malta in dry lease.

The 16-year-old aircraft is not owned by the Maltese carrier, but a leased aircraft. As part of a so-called sublease (dry), Tus Airways will use the now 5B-DDL until the contract expires. The machine was previously registered as 9H-AEN.

Tus Airways was founded in 2015 and initially relied on the Saab 340B and Saab 2000 models. Subsequently, it was switched to the Fokker 100 and Fokker 70. The highest level of the fleet was seven aircraft. Scheduled flight operations were discontinued in autumn 2019. All machines were returned to the lessors. Back then there were rumors that Tus Airways was running out. It was emphasized that one wants to concentrate on the charter business. The comeback will now take place in July 2021 with a single Airbus A320, which will be used from Larnaka.
