The “Society of Friends of the Technisches Museum Wien” organizes two lecture evenings in the ballroom of the Hietzingen District Museum (13th, Am Platz 2).

Otto Brandtner will give a lecture there on Tuesday, August 3, from 18.00:1 p.m., entitled “The beginning of (military) aviation in Austria - Part 10”. The transport specialist talks about beginnings with balloons and the use of airplanes with the designations "Etrich-Taube" and "Lohner-Pfeilflieger". On Tuesday, August 18.00th, Otto Brandtner will speak in the museum from 2:XNUMX p.m. on the subject of “Austria's air forces in the First World War”. In part XNUMX of his lecture the connoisseur deals with the eventful history of the "kuk aviation troops".

The audience is informed about the previous use of various types of aircraft. Brandtner recalls the training of pilots and observers at the time and deals with the air forces of the "kuk Kriegsmarine", known as "Seeflieger".
