The Polish airline Lot wants Boeing to compensate for the grounding of the 737 Max fleet. Around 252,76 million US dollars are required, which the aircraft manufacturer does not want to pay.
A spokesman for Lot confirmed the coverage of the news agencies PAP and Reuters. For tactical procedural reasons, however, one does not want to comment further on the content of the lawsuit. In any case, one thing is certain: the loyal Boeing customer Lot is pretty mad at the US aircraft manufacturer.
Local media write, among other things, that this should refer to a clause in the contract. Among other things, the "rabbit foot" should mean that compensations in the leasing contracts should be excluded. Now a court will have to decide whether Boeing has made itself liable for damages or not.
