Boeing's planes are arguably not the most reliable. The company owes this reputation to the ongoing technical difficulties that the aircraft manufacturer could now do financially. Boeing boss David Calhoun would like to inform investors.
The US aircraft manufacturer Boeing is threatened with financial difficulties as a result of the crashes of two 737 Max aircraft in 2018 and 2019. According to current assessments of various aviation experts, Boeing is currently subject to increased monitoring by the regulatory authorities. Therefore, Boeing CEO Dave Calhoun wants to inform investors next week about the further developments to be expected. The ORF reports.
The Boeing 737 Max made headlines with two crashes in Indonesia and Ethiopia with a total of 346 deaths. In March 2019, a worldwide flight ban was imposed on the US aircraft manufacturer's previous bestseller, which was only lifted at the end of 2020. This year there were other technical problems: with the electronics of the 737 Max Jet, the fuselage of the 787 and another delay in the schedule for the new 777X. Experts believe that a large part of the problems stem from the aftermath of the Max crashes.
