126 young people will begin training in an aircraft technology, industrial or logistics-oriented profession in 2021.
Even in difficult times, Lufthansa Technik wants to meet the future need for highly trained specialists itself. 109 young people are starting their training in Hamburg this month, 16 in Frankfurt and one in Munich. Of the new apprenticeship positions, 109 will go directly to Lufthansa Technik AG, the rest to Lufthansa Technik Logistik Services and LEOS.
“We see training as a long-term instrument and this needs continuity,” says Barbara Körner, Head of Training and Dual Students at Lufthansa Technik. “Only then can all the interfaces involved, such as trainers, specialist areas, operational areas and vocational school, provide optimal training quality. With this in mind, Lufthansa Technik made a conscious decision to maintain the training activities. Only the number of places was adjusted due to the crisis. "
This means that there are now a total of around 650 young people at the Lufthansa Technik Group in Germany in training or in a dual course of study.
