Sarajevo Airport saw slower passenger growth in November. This is probably also due to the closure of the Wizz Air base at the end of October.
The airport handled a total of 68.243 passengers in November - still a slight increase compared to the same month before the 2019 pandemic, when 67.358 travelers were handled. Despite the departure of the Hungarian low-cost airline and the associated weakening, this year's result will go down in the history books, as the online portal Ex-Yu-Aviation reports. From January to November 2022, more than 1,3 million passengers were handled at Sarajevo Airport. That is already (compared to 2019) an increase of 20,7 percent.
