Adults-only hotels can get very expensive

Vacation away from the family hustle and bustle? This is possible in so-called adult hotels, which are specially tailored to the needs of people aged 16 or 18 and over. Travelers have to pay up to 1.876 euros for three nights in such accommodation. That's what the language learning platform Preply found in a comparison of more than 1700 offers for child-free holidays.

For a childless short trip in summer you have to dig deep into your pocket, especially in Greece. With an average price of 453 euros per person for three nights, the offers here are the most expensive. Switzerland is also comparatively expensive at just under 360 euros per person for three nights. In France, guests pay around 305 euros per person for three nights in an adults-only hotel. The childless accommodations in Italy and Croatia are cheaper at around 279 or 261 euros per person for three nights.

The cheapest offers for adult hotels are in Finland. Just under 104 euros are due here for three nights per person. It is also relatively affordable in Luxembourg at 105 euros. At just under 142 euros, Belgium is also one of the cheapest booking options.

Bavaria, Berlin and Baden-Württemberg: These regions in Germany are suitable for a trip without children

For a holiday within Germany, Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg and Berlin offer the most adults-only hotels. In Bavaria there are 109 offers to choose from. In Berlin, parents have 56 different options for child-free holidays, while Baden-Württemberg has 58 options. If you want to spend three nights in an adults-only hotel in Bavaria, Berlin and Baden-Württemberg, you pay an average price of between 247 and 295 euros per person.

From Ankara to Zakynthos: This is where most adults-only hotels are located

Spain has the most offers for holidays without children. Holidaymakers have a total of 285 of 1707 booking options to choose from. Greece took second place with 192 offers for hotels for adults. Austria follows in a European comparison with 133 offers and thus only offers almost half of the offers of Spain. With 120 and 106 offers for holidays without children, Italy and Turkey are also in the top five.

Quietness is particularly important in such accommodations, which is why they are also ideal for a language trip, as you can concentrate particularly well there. However, we recommend comparing the offers, as the prices can vary greatly depending on the region and country. ”
