Air Peace appoints Africa's first female E195-E2 captain

On November 24, 2024, a woman was appointed captain of the airline Air Peace, which operates in Nigeria, for the first time.

She is also the first female captain in all of Africa to fly the Embraer E195-E2. The carrier formally announced the promotion of Ibironke Rotimi-Olajide. Incidentally, the lady was also the first female first officer on E195-E2 on the African continent some time ago.
