Oneworld member American Airlines is taking over ten Airbus A321neo from competitor Alaska Airlines. The very young aircraft were retired by the latter provider, as the focus in this segment is on the Boeing 737-Max.

The latest quarterly report shows that the ten aircraft, which have an average age of 5,6 years, were acquired from American Airlines. It should be noted that these are not the property of Alaska Airlines, but rather aircraft that Virgin America leased through Gecas and entered the Alaska Airlines fleet.
