In preparation for the upcoming fleet of Boeing 787-9 long-haul aircraft, Austrian Airlines has entered into an agreement with the US manufacturer for digital solutions to support maintenance work.

Among other things, Airplane Health Management and Maintenance Performance Toolbox are included. According to a statement from Boeing, the Austrian Lufthansa subsidiary is already working with Boeing service teams to introduce the software solutions and build up the necessary spare parts inventory.

Furthermore, contracts were signed that enable Austrian Airlines to access Boeing's international sales network. This means that required spare parts and, if necessary, technical support can be accessed quickly. Starting next year, Austrian Airlines will initially have ten B787-9s in its fleet.
