The airline Austrian Airlines was able to obtain the so-called EAMS certification.

EMAS is a voluntary instrument of the European Union that supports companies and organizations of all sizes and in all sectors to continuously improve their environmental performance. The EMAS registration contains all the requirements of the international environmental management standard ISO 14001, supplemented by additional requirements. As part of the first environmental statement, Austrian Airlines reports on its environmental performance for the 2022 reporting year.

“The successful introduction of an environmental management system of the highest standard enables systematic and sustainable improvements to our business activities. We are proud that Austrian Airlines is following a flight route that will help us achieve our environmental goals,” said CEO Annette Mann.
