BDL gives little chance of more long-haul routes from Berlin

The German capital Berlin has long been considered a difficult place when it comes to long-haul flights. Both political and tourism officials are calling for the expansion of the offer.

However, the Federal Association of German Airlines is skeptical about this and points out that the reason for the low supply is very simple: it simply does not make economic sense because the region, which is considered to have weak purchasing power, is blessed with little demand as a stand-alone market In addition, there are hardly any feeder flights. Berlin is not a classic hub like Frankfurt or Munich.
