Due to a technical defect in the nose wheel of the Boeing 737-800 with the registration EI-DYC, there were delays at Charleroi Airport in Belgium on January 25, 2024.

The plane operated by Ryanair came from Rome-Ciampino under flight number FR9719. The nose wheel had a technical defect. As a result, the machine “stood” on the tarmac and had to be repaired on the spot. This meant that flight operations were severely restricted until around 2 a.m. The exact cause of the incident has yet to be determined. In any case, all passengers and crew members were able to leave the medium-haul jet safely.
