Brussels Airlines: Technical staff threatens to go on strike

A collective bargaining dispute with technical staff is now looming at the Belgian Lufthansa subsidiary Brussels Airlines. Two unions said they would seek arbitration, but a third threatened a strike.

The employee representatives BBTK/Setca and ACV Puls/CNE have already made it publicly known that they will call for work stoppages if the attempt at conciliation fails. It is also explained that people are dissatisfied with both the pay and the working conditions.

After pilots and flight attendants, Brussels Airlines is now in conflict with another large employment group: technicians. Recently, strike threats from the flying crew were averted, but negotiations with the cabin crew are extremely tough. An agreement has already been reached with the pilots.
