China Southern takes on Guangzhou-Budapest

The airline China Southern Airlines will fly to Budapest four times a week from Guangzhou from June 27, 2024.

This route will be served by long-haul Boeing 787-8 aircraft. “It is a great pleasure for us to welcome China Southern Airlines to Budapest Airport and to introduce Guangzhou, one of China's most important hubs, as a new and exciting destination,” says Balázs Bogáts, CCO, Budapest Airport. “With this announcement, we introduce our fifth Chinese destination for passenger flights, and we are confident that our new partnership with China Southern Airlines will help strengthen ties between our two regions.” Bogáts added: “This new route will open a variety of onward connections to Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand, not only facilitating tourism and business traffic, but also promoting important economic and cultural exchanges between Hungary and China,” Bogáts continued.
