China: Airship AS700 completes successful test drive

The AS700 airship, developed in the People's Republic of China, completed a test drive on April 2, 2024.

This led from Jingmen to Jingzhou. Those responsible for the project stated that the airship's journey time would be one hour and 46 minutes. It should be able to carry a maximum of ten passengers. The range is said to be 700 kilometers, and the airship can stay in the air for up to ten hours. It is currently assumed that the first unit can be put into commercial service around the end of 2024.
