The Austrian Ministry of the Interior has announced that there have been around 2023 reports against so-called climate adhesives since the beginning of 3.700.

There are said to have been 26 preliminary arrests in Vienna between February 3 and March 2024, 100 alone. Both these people and all other participants in these disturbances face severe penalties due to the various offenses committed. Only recently, a fine of 1.200 euros imposed by the Vienna State Police Directorate was confirmed by the State Administrative Court.

“The Vienna police not only take consistent and decisive action against climate stickers on the streets, but also impose severe penalties. This path we have chosen will be consistently continued,” said Interior Minister Gerhard Karner.

In total, almost 2023 arrests have been made in such actions since the beginning of 900. Around 3.700 reports have been filed since the beginning of last year, including around 150 reports to the criminal justice system.
