Czech Republic: Regiojet wins the most comprehensive tender to date

The Czech railway operator Regiojet has signed the most extensive operating contract in the company's history. This will come into force in December 2026 and covers an annual volume of 3,3 million kilometers.

RegioJet will use new, modern low-floor units on the tendered routes, which will guarantee passengers first-class transport comfort. “This contract is part of our goal to become the market leader in rail transport in the Czech Republic. At the same time, it confirms our commitment to modernizing our rolling stock by purchasing new, modern and environmentally friendly trains,” said Radim Jančura, owner of Regiojet.

The contract with the Ústí region is the second major order for RegioJet in the region, where the company already operates several electric trains. Last year, the company also won a contract to operate trains on the R9 line from Prague to Brno, which will use modern low-floor units designed for a speed of 200 km/h and also suitable for operation on partial Suitable for high-speed routes.
