Düsseldorf could lose its last route to the USA

Düsseldorf Airport could soon find itself without a flight connection to the United States of America, as Delta Air Lines intends to discontinue the Atlanta route on October 26, 2023.

LTU, Lufthansa and Air Berlin once operated numerous US routes from Düsseldorf. There's nothing left of it. Only the connection to the Atlanta hub, which was reactivated on May 10, 2023. But that will soon come to an end. The sale of tickets after October 26, 2023 has already been stopped.

Düsseldorf Airport is of the opinion that the last word has not yet been spoken. They point out that the route has a high occupancy rate of well over 90 percent and want to negotiate again with Delta Air Lines.
