Easter 2024: Dresden and Leipzig expect PAX rush

For Easter, a total of 129 passenger aircraft will take off from Central German airports from Maundy Thursday to Easter Sunday - 46 at Dresden Airport and 83 at Leipzig/Halle Airport. In addition to holiday regions on the Mediterranean, the Atlantic, the Red Sea and the Persian Gulf, the flight schedule also includes domestic German destinations and European metropolises.

At Easter, 54 aircraft take off from Leipzig/Halle to sunny destinations and 29 scheduled flights. 16 and twelve aircraft respectively fly to Antalya and Hurghada alone. Mallorca is served six times. Five holiday flights each take off to Las Palmas and Marsa Alam. Other flights take passengers to Fuerteventura, Tenerife, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Funchal and Corfu. During the same period, 29 scheduled flights to international hubs are planned, including 14 to Frankfurt and six to Munich. Istanbul and Vienna are served four and three times respectively, London twice.

The summer flight schedule comes into force on Sunday, March 31st. The offering at Leipzig/Halle Airport includes connections to 33 destinations in 16 countries, served by 29 airlines. Up to 221 passenger flights take off every week.

34 scheduled flights and twelve holiday flights depart from Dresden at Easter. Antalya is visited five times. Three and two planes respectively take off to Palma de Mallorca and Hurghada. Las Palmas and Fuerteventura are also served. Lufthansa departs most frequently from Dresden at Easter. The airline flies to the Frankfurt hub 15 times. Twelve flights take off to Munich. A large number of destinations worldwide can be easily reached via the turnstiles. Eurowings also flies to Düsseldorf.

KLM connects Dresden with Amsterdam three times. SWISS also flies to Zurich three times. There are numerous international connecting connections via both hubs. The summer season also begins in Dresden on March 31st. The summer flight schedule offers connections to 22 destinations in twelve countries, served by 14 airlines. Up to 104 flights take off per week.
