Brussels Airport is expecting over 1,1 million passengers during the Easter holidays. Sun destinations, city breaks within Europe and trips further afield such as the United States and the Dominican Republic continue to be very popular.

More than 1,1 million passengers will depart or arrive from Brussels Airport between Friday 29 March and Sunday 14 April. This is a slight increase (around 25.000 more passengers) compared to the Easter holidays last year. Only students in Flemish schools have time off during this period. In the French-speaking schools they don't have the two-week vacation until May.

During the Easter holidays, travelers can choose from 160 direct destinations at Brussels airports. Sun destinations such as Spain and the Canary Islands, Portugal, the Cape Verde Islands, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Greece and Turkey are very popular, as are city breaks within Europe. Popular intercontinental destinations include the United States, Canada, the Dominican Republic, Mexico and the United Arab Emirates.
