On Saturday, January 20, 2024, Transavia flight HV6365, operated by the Boeing 737-800, which has the registration PH-HXL, had to declare an air emergency. There was a suspicion that a fire might have broken out in the cargo hold.

The medium-haul jet was on its way from Eindhoven to Gran Canaria. Shortly before landing, the pilots received a warning that a fire could have broken out in the hold. An air emergency was then declared. The Boeing 737-800 was able to land safely at Gran Canaria airport.

As a precaution, the PH-HXL was received by the fire department. This was able to give the all-clear shortly afterwards. The warning message turned out to be a false alarm. All passengers and crew members were able to leave the aircraft unharmed.
