The maintenance group Lufthansa Technik and the US low-cost airline Frontier Airlines have signed a five-year contract for overhaul services for the Airbus A320 fleet.

The low-coster will also be relying on Lufthansa-Technik's Aviatar platform in the future. Around 300 maintenance events are planned for Frontier Airlines over the next five years. These will be carried out on two exclusive Lufthansa Technik overhaul lines in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. Previously there was a one-year agreement limited to one overhaul line. Lufthansa Technik has been supporting the US airline with spare parts supplies for several years.

Lufthansa Technik Puerto Rico (LTPR) specializes in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of Airbus A320 family aircraft. The company's strategic geographical location in the Caribbean enables it to serve customers from North, Central and South America. The company has a 20.000 square meter facility at Rafael Hernández Airport in Aguadilla with five overhaul lines and a team of more than 400 employees.
