German accommodation providers still below pre-crisis levels

German accommodation providers had a total of 2023 million overnight stays in October 44,6. This meant an increase of 1,2 percent compared to the same period last year.

According to figures from the Federal Statistical Office, the companies were 2,3 percent below the value achieved in October 2019. What is noteworthy, however, is that the number of domestic guests was 0,8 percent higher than in the previous year, but 0,8 percent lower than in the month before the crisis.

The number of foreign guests in Germany was 9,8 percent lower than in October 2019. Compared to the same month last year, there was an increase of 2,9 percent with seven million travelers.
