Germany: Strikes have caused a huge increase in flight cancellations

Since the beginning of 2024, numerous strikes by various professional groups have taken place in Germany, including in aviation. These are expected to increase the number of cancellations exponentially, according to the air passenger rights portal Airhelp.

According to this provider, there were a total of ten strike events in Germany in the first three months of the current year, which led to the cancellation of numerous flights. This means that the level of the previous year has almost been reached, as there are said to have been a total of eleven strike days in 2023 as a whole.
